New Beginnings Brunch (NBB) is a women’s organization founded by Shahnaz Singh on November 3, 2018. The primary goal of the NBB is to help women grow deeper in their faith while providing support through all stages of life. We provide a space and resources to help women step outside of their comfort zones and redirect them to their first identity – daughters of the King. We build upon this foundation by providing a community for women to reconnect with God, themselves and each other. To this end, since November 2018, we have hosted 2 symposiums, numerous quarterly brunches, and 20 cohorts of women who have met across the east coast developing their skills and external relationships to impact their respective spheres of influence.

Our
Shahnaz Singh-Kandah is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner. She attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. After graduating from Northeastern, Shahnaz conducted clinical research for patients with rare cancers such as Sarcoma and Acral Melanoma. She loved research, but had a desire to pursue her calling into the clinical area. She returned to school in 2015 to attend Columbia University’s combined Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner program. Shahnaz is now a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with a subspecialty in Oncology treating patients with Melanoma and Sarcoma. She is also the founder of New Beginnings Brunch (NBB). Shahnaz was inspired to create NBB after the sudden loss of her brother, JJ, in 2014. He was 30 years old and killed as a pedestrian. It was in this moment that Shahnaz knew that our dreams have expiration dates. Shahnaz’ dream is to create a movement of women that will allow God to guide their futures without listening to the lies of fear.
